How To Use FTP

We recommend WS FTP LE as the shareware of choice for home PC users. The pro version offers added features for the business user. Download a copy of WSFTP LE or Pro from ftpplanet.com.

Please see their website at http://www.ipswitch.com for the latest versions, upgrades and to register.

You may then go offline and run the setup file to install the program. To start using FTP you open the program and enter the host server settings.

The settings to FTP to our server are:

Site Name: Unlimited Media ftp server
Host Name/ Address: unlimitedmedia.com
Host Type: Unix (standard)
Username: anonymous
Note: The anonymous checkbox must be checked.
Password: leave blank
Check the save password box also.

To upload your files:

• Connect to the server. You should see your local computer files on one side of the screen and the remote server on the other.
• On the remote server side double click to go into the "incoming" directory.
• Make sure the Auto check box is checked.
• Find the files you want to transfer on your computer. You can move up one directory by double clicking the green arrow at the top of of the file list.
• Highlight the file you want by clicking it one time on your Local computer side.
• Click the arrow going from your local computer to the remote computer. That's it, you should see your transfered file on the remote computer side of the screen. Email us to let us know its there.
