How to Build Traffic from Zero for Your Ecommerce Startup

Great advice for start-ups to grow your traffic from zero. You have to turn to the tried and true “old school” hustle, reaching out by phone, email or in-person and delivering your pitch.

  1. Read this post and watch the video.  Get yourself psyched up to hustle and network and partner with compatible sites.
  2. Create a marketing plan to identify who to reach out to and what your offers would look like.  Define your target customer, then think about where that customer is, what sites do they visit? What about offline, where do you find those customers? Include that in your marketing plan. Here is how to write a marketing plan.
  3. Create an elevator pitch, a 60 second intro that entices the listener with what your company does.  Here is how to write one.
  4. Set goals. Maybe its just to talk to 5 people that can reach your audience.
